Mistrust as Coalition Govt meets for unity
THE Grand Coalition government meets this morning for a crucial bonding session that would also address the protocol issue, define roles of respective ministers and cultivate a cordial working relationship.
And on the eve of the meeting, United States Ambassador Michael Ranneberger told the coalition partners to ensure that the protocol issue is resolved immediately to forestall further embarrassments that could threaten progress.
Ranneberger said the US was concerned with the disquiet among leaders in the coalition over the protocol row that has so far pitted Prime Minister Raila Odinga against Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka.(More In Print Edition) |
