THE contribution made by local politicians in helping contain the spread of the deadly Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome(AIDS) scourge yesterday received rare praise from medical professionals, ahead of World Health Day to be marked on April 7. Medical Services Director, Dr Francis Kimani told a day long forum at the New Stanely Hotel the male circumcision campaign is currently yielding positive results because of the involvement by political leaders at the grassroots level.
